#27 don't press snooze on a monday morning, but get up and listen to "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, while dancing in my underwear - iloveit even after doing it a thrillion times

Fun things

#21 do something physically challenging - and then be proud of myself
#22 read a book!
#23 make a vision board
#24 be somewhere in nature (e.g. beach/lake, path in the middle of fields) and stay up all night. eventually fall asleep and sleep just one hour. then watch the sunrise. or: watch the sunrise :-)
#25 i never did that, but read it on pinterest and i would looove to try it: take dance classes and wear rainbow sneakers

#17 enjoy myself - sometimes i like to take one day off of all the roles society and myself put on me. i like to forget about all expectations people have and just do whatever i like. alone. go to the cinema. go eating at a diner. go shopping and be my own advisor. i believe that it's hard to truly be happy, if i am not confident spending time alone

#18 memories - just lying in my bed and thinking about happy things that happened in the past

#19 grow a plant (and talk to it, they say it grows better than :D) - it's an enjoyable kind of responsibility

#20 ask someone "what can i do for you?" and do it

DIY

What makes me happy;

#15 Creating
Eventhough I am not good at drawing, I found it makes me happy. Creating, doing something with my hands, makes me happy. Lately I assigned myself with a project to draw a map of Africa with a quote in it on a canvas. Doing that I got completely absorbed by it: I forgot time and at the same time felt such a peace and comfort.
Usually I research "Crafts", "Art", "DIY" on Pinterest. There are plenty of ideas :-)


I would really love to have this but in the outline of the Dominican Republic. I left my heart across the sea. Jackie Castro. Africa. 9 x 12 canvas. Lyric. Quote. Donating all profits to ESI.:

It's 2016.

And I haven't posted since over one year. Just think about your whole last year. It's crazy how one year can bring, take, change so much. So much development and regression at the same time.
LIFE. It's mindblowing in all different kind of ways.

Last year I made a plan to write down 365 reasons on how to be happy. I challenged myself to not search comfort in chocolate for a year and instead find other things that make me happy.

#14 A hot bath.
Lately I asked many people what makes them happy and surprisingly a lot of them spontaneously answered "a hot bath". Or quoting Sylia Plath:"There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them."

Ghetto Life

You need some happy-vation? Go ahead:

#12 Thankfulness
Write down a list of what you're  thankful for (and then put on your favorite song and have a nice dance at your place).

#13 Don't give a F#!&
My best friend calls it 'Ghetto Life'. Whenever something bad happens, you feel awkward, stressed out and things just don't go your way, you say 'Whatever. Ghetto Life!' and just laugh about it. Try it for a day and you will see, that some problems seem bigger than they actually are. It will also give you self confidence :) (Be like Tom)

Nothing better than putting your favorite tune on after waking up. In case you don't have one yet, just search for "uplifting music" on the net.

#10 Writing a diary...FOR SOMEONE ELSE!
Everyone needs a real deep conversation from time to time. Last year I received a handwritten diary from a friend, which he wrote for some months, before handing it over to me. There were just his thoughts on many areas of life, his struggles, happiness, funny reminders of what we did together and what he thought in particular situations about me, that i never knew about. E.g. "That day you seemed to be in bad mood and not willing to talk to anybody..what was wrong??? Are you angry with me??"
- It was awesome to read it, so I started to write one for him.. It makes double fun to write down what's in my head, because I know he will read it and we will talk about it, which will inspire us to new thoughts or actions! :-)

#11 CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS
One of my friends, who did a therapy, told me about this technique she learned: If you're having a bad thought, write it down, thing about it and turn it into a good one, because what we see in this world and what we feel, is a reflection of the thoughts in our brain! E.g. you think ,,Everyone i angry with me and hates me." and change it into "Not everyone is angry! Only this one person. And they don't hate me, they are just angry about this one thing I did."
Changing your thoughts will help you a lot with changing your whole attitude.
